“Prayers & Packages” began in August, 2006, as a ministry of Calvary Chapel Westside, Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. Our initial goal was to send every Maui Marine deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan, a Christmas Care Package.

Due to the overwhelming generosity and caring of our local community, as well as businesses and individuals stateside, we met our goal of sending 300 care packages to Iraq this past Christmas. To date, we've sent over 800 packages and are already preparing to send care packages in February, June, September and again next Christmas!

As this ministry grows, we are excited to continue to “adopt” individual and/or battalions of Marines and Army soldiers during their deployments, pray for each and send care packages. We also work closely with Chaplains deployed with our troops to ensure that additional care packages are distributed to those with the greatest need.
